Hammer Union Gripper Demo Video

The Hammer Union Gripper is a cost-effective system designed to safely hold and easily orient the Hammer Union Nut for ease of grinding. The quick positioning of both the Horizontal and Vertical Axis on the Hammer Union Gripper allows for easy grinding access to each of the five sides on the three different lugs for a variety of different sized Hammer Union Nuts (2″, 3″, 4″.) The gripper holds the hammer union nut securely while allowing the user to safely operate the grinder with both hands. The holes in the base plate allow the gripper to be used with a downdraft table and bolt holes allow the gripper to be securely mounted in almost any application.

The following picture slider shows the 4 different positions allowing access to each of the 4 sides of one Lug on the Union Nut. The fifth side of the Lug remains facing outward at each of the four positions. This system allows for a full 360 degree movement (horizontal axis) in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. The Hammer Union Gripper “snaps” into place and securely holds any sized Union Nut at the four locations shown in the pictures.

The following picture slider shows the 3 different positions allowing access to each of the 3 Lugs on the Hammer Union Nut. By pulling the black knob in the front of the Hammer Union Gripper, this configuration allows the user to rotate a full 360 degrees (vertical axis) in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. The system then locks into the three main positions as shown in the pictures, where one of the three lugs is always facing out allowing for easy grinding access.
